Anti-farm code
Everybody seems to have a different idea of how the anti-farm code works. So:
A. Is there a reliable guide? B. If not, what are your thoughts? Questions include: 1. How many times can you farm the same area before it kicks in? 2. If it kicks in, how much of what else do you have to do to reset it? 3. If it's on for anybody in a group, is it on for everybody in a group? 4. How extreme do you have to be to set it off in the first place? I know that to get the anti-farming pop-up window, you have to be pretty extreme. Indeed, I've only gotten it once. But I don't know whether the code has been nerfing my drops anyway. As for avoiding setting it off -- does dying suffice? How about mapping to a different city than you left from? (Although letting it be beaten that easily would be silly, frankly.) The one time I got the pop-up message, I was walking outside, killing one monster, walking back to the city, and repeating. (Somebody was offering me 1 platinum per spiny seed, and I wanted some for myself anyway.) |

you have to farm a small repetive area heavily to get the warning.
there is a second warning shortly (maybe 3-5 runs) after that saying the monsters will run out of loot. do the whole zone every few runs. if you get the first warning farm somewhere else for 24 hours to play safe dying or zoneing from a different area does not clear it. this is ANTI BOT not anti farmer. the reason you trigger it is that you are doing it so bot like it kicks in |

I've never seen this, ever. But I have several places I like to farm with three characters. Variety is the spice of life...and the Anti-Anti-farm.

yeah its pretty handy and should help out with the new "supply and demand" system that the frogs says is coming out. This way certain items aren't as common as they are now to find. Also, Sirkaze is right, if you do a mission, the warning goes away.

would doing the Orozar mission count (to reset anti-farm code)? Kinda funny that the mission is the farming.

Usually you won't get the antifarming code when you farm entire areas like clearing ALL of augury rocks general area or doing the Orozar mission in whole or part. The best way to get the tip to pop up is to enter an area kill a small group of farmable mobs then leaving just to enter the same area over again.
Example; farm the minotaurs in the first part of the Elona mission then leave and repeat,or clear just a couple of minotaurs outside Augury then go back to town and repeat. Typically short patterns of farming will get the code to pop up. Not long lasting areas. |

So entering a mission isn't enough to clear the code, right? Because it sounds like the places one farms within a mission (e.g., the Elona's Reach minotaurs) trigger the pop-up warning just like any other place does.

Any place can give you the code as long as you do small repetitious events in that area. If you get the pop up from killing minotaurs in the Elona mission then you can run to augury rock and go farm there for a few minutes then come back. Same goes for augury. You can go do the Elona mission to get rid of the code. Just try to do the entire Elona mission instead of just farming in it. The best way to lose the code is to go somewhere completely different, say Ascalon area do a mission. The missions are easy and fast there.

To clarify -- "code" means "program logic", as in software. I'm assuming that drops get nerfed even before you get pop-up windows with a warning telling you.
At least, I'm asking for other people's experience-based opinions on that. |

i killed them, rezoned killed them again about 20+ times and was simply leaving drops on the ground. the first message popped up and then the second popped up about 4 times after that. it chose that time to dop a nice purple for me. but it was simple quick repeating that triggered it |

Drops are random, you never know when you are going to get a gold drop. However, quick, repeative farming of the same area will reduce your drop rate and you will end up with either merchant fodder or nothing at all.

i used to farm trolls, griffons, and ettins for hours on end and would get the lil tip continously so i wised up too it eventually and found out how to beat it and farm continuoussly. I simply farm ENTIRE mission all by myself my favorite missions to farm are in the magumma jungle easy missions and good money best way to avoid the code.

I hope that this doesn't apply to doing ToPK over and over. It is a long area, but not a mission. The last 2 times I have done it, I have gotten nothing but merchant fodder. No greens, no golds, no ecto's. It isn't like I have been doing the area non stop since the update either. It is a very recent thing for me to even be there at all.
